JIGSAW PSHE
At Heathfields and Wilnecote, we predominantly follow the JIGSAW PSHE scheme to support the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of all of our pupils. JIGSAW PSHE is an all-inclusive curriculum that caters for the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND. As situations have arisen within our local area and through updates to PSHE in the national curriculum, we have adapted and added to the content that we deliver through the JIGSAW curriculum to include new initiatives e.g. the teaching of first aid and to address misconceptions and widen our children's narrow world view through the specific teaching of diversity as a stand-alone unit.

Teaching and learning of PSHE is supported through the use of our PSHE working walls in each classroom which are added to throughout each lesson to scaffold the children's learning and ensure that all learning opportunities are linked and are as meaningful as possible as we recognise that PSHE is such a valuable and vital subject for all of our pupils' development.
