This week, our learning will look a little different in English to that which has gone before.
On Friday 8th May, we will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE day.
You will probably see lots of TV programmes about VE day this week as well as information on the news and on many websites.
We will be setting you tasks this week to help you learn more about VE Day and there will be activities based on this learning below.
Please remember to take pictures or scan your learning and send it in to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We all love looking at your learning and seeing what you have been finding out.
Many thanks from the Year 3 team.
As usual with the reading comprehension:
One Star is Mild
Two Star is Hot
Three Star is Flaming Hot
THE WAR IS OVER!
Please plan for your own VE Day party and write instructions for the day to run smoothly!
Use the PPT's below to help you.
Remember the key features of a good set of instructions.
Think about the structure of your instructions.

One very famous WW2 soldier has been in the news recently for helping raise money for the NHS.
Obviously this is the one and only Colonel (formally captain) Tom Moore
He also helped win WW2.
Research him and how he helped the Allies win the war.
Make cards to celebrate VE-Day
Try and find some books on WW2.
