CREATIVE PROJECT

This week we are setting you a project to complete!

All about bees!

Picture 1

You will need to do lots of research on the internet to find out about bees and create a fact file, poster, leaflet or non-chronological report.

We would like you to answer these questions in your project:

What is a bee?

What is the lifecycle of a bee?

Why are bees important?

Where do bees live?

What are the main features when designing a bee’s house?

Can you name any other minibeast that are similar to a bee?

Could you find and create definitions of any key words linked to bees?

Here is one fact I found to help you get started.

Did You Know? Bumblebees have hairy legs (to help collect food) and smelly feet (to let other bees know that they have visited a flower).

REMEMBER!

  • To use your punctuation correctly (don’t forget those capital letters!)
  • To use a range of sentence types. Command, exclamation, question and statement.
  • To use noun phrases to describe and make your learning MUCH more exciting.
  • To add pictures to your learning to make it interesting.
  • To enjoy and have fun!

If you don’t fancy doing much writing- You could also create a mobile of the different species of bees. Maybe you could write the key questions on the back of each bee that dangles from the mobile?

After you could also get creative and make a bee out of junk or different craft materials.

Don't forget to send us your amazing learning!

We would all love to see it!
