CHALLENGE AND ENRICHMENT - Additional Activities
Please find below other activities that children can choose to do which will enrich, challenge or deepen all the wonderful learning that they have been doing,
These are all optional. If you do them - remember to share them with your teachers at:
On Wednesday, you are finding the key features of a persuasive letter. If you would like to challenge yourself, try and use the grid below. You can print this off or draw your own. You will need to think about the purpose and how each key feature helps achieve the purpose.
When you have written your persuasive letter, you could extend your learning through writing a running commentary alongside your letter explaining why you have chosen certain words or specific key features.
For example if you began your letter with 'Dear', you could write 'I chose to start my letter with 'Dear' instead of 'To' because it is much more formal and therefore makes me, as the writer, seem more knowledgeable.'
This really shows that you are thinking carefully about what you are writing and you are considering the impact on the reader. Good luck!
