Today can you solve problems linked to addition?

We have explored lots of different ways to add!

Time to investigate!

Today’s task:

Can you help me to find out if adding in any order gets you the same answer?

Is 23+16 the same as 16+23? They are the same numbers but I’ve swapped them around.

Can you try other numbers too?

Challenge: Can you help me to investigate if these statements are true or false?

  • An odd number add an odd number will equal an odd number.
  • An even number add an even number will equal an even number.
  • An odd number add an even number will equal an even number.
