In school in every maths lesson, we start by counting forwards and backwards from different numbers. Today I would like you to count forwards and backwards in 50's from 0.
Today, I would like you think about multiplying a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number. (For example 23x4).
I would like you to produce either a poster, video or PowerPoint to teach the year 2's how to multiply using grid method.
Remember at the beginning of year 3, you drew circles to show 'groups of' or 'lots of' and then you learnt how to do grid method in year 3. Lots of us found it tricky to begin with and now after we have practised, it's not as hard as we first thought. Maybe you could even teach adults at home how we multiply using grid method!
Maybe you could show the year 2's how to multiply a 3 digit number by and 1 digit number (342x4) or a 2 digit number by a 2 digit number (53x23).

We look forward to seeing what you come up with! Remember to send your learning in to us - firstname.lastname@example.org
We would love to post some to the school social media pages!
