Welcome to Year 5!

From discovering the fascinating world of the Tudors in our History lessons, exploring untouched rainforests in Geography lessons to travelling to the furthest reaches of outer space in Science, we certainly have an exciting year ahead of us.

Our PE days are: 

• Monday & Tuesday for Pullman and Almond
• Monday & Friday for Class Pearce.

Children will attend school in their P.E. kit on P.E.days.

• White or house coloured T-shirt: blue, yellow, green or blue. (Long sleeve tops can be worn underneath, particularly when cold).
• Blue/black shorts (leggings underneath are permitted).
• Blue/black tracksuit bottoms.
• Blue/black sweatshirt.
• Trainers/pumps.

On P.E. please ensure all jewellery is removed and hair should be tied back.

 

Reading:
You will need your reading books and diary in school every day.

 

Homework:

Children will receive:

• Times table Rock stars (TTRS) 
• Spelling homework
• White Rose maths homework (booklet) will be set in line with the units being taught in class. 
• Children need to read at least 4 times a week and should have their diaries signed by an adult.

 

Children’s work and achievements will be celebrated through Arbor and within celebration assemblies.
