Dear Parents and Carers
We have a week saying hello to 58 new children and families to Heathfields, as we held the induction meeting for Reception 2026 starters.
Year 2 have visited the juniors for the start of their transition. We know this has created mixed feelings, as some children are happy and eager to join the new junior and explore the new environment, whilst others have realised their time at Heathfields will be ending, and they will miss the school.
Next week we will be having a Peer Strategic Review. The focus of the progress and achievements that the school has achieved since the last Peer Strategic Review in 2024 and the OFSTED inspection. Mr Hand (Vice CEO), Miss Cooper (Glascote Academy – Assistant Headteacher) and Mrs Nicholson (Violet Way – Deputy Headteacher) will be working alongside the schools leadership team reviewing the following three aspects:
- Inclusion (with a focus on the children with EHCPs)
- Science and PHSE
- Middle leadership (the growth and development of leaders)
Celebrations
The class with the highest number of readers this week was . . . . Murphy with 86%
The class with the highest attendance this week was . . . Child with 100%

The following classes were all above the school's target of 96% . . . Child, Ahlberg, Rosen, Grey and Ross.
Toys in School Reminder
We kindly ask that children do not bring toys into school from home, including squishy toys.
Recently, we have noticed an increasing number of toys being brought in and taken onto the playground at lunchtime. Unfortunately, this has led to a number of disagreements and upset between children when items are lost, damaged or shared unfairly.
To help ensure that playtimes remain happy and calm for everyone, we would be grateful if all toys could be kept at home.
