Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to all our families. We have had a fantastic start to the new school year, and it has been a pleasure to see the children return ready to learn and reconnect with friends.
A special welcome goes to our Year 3 children, who have made a fantastic start to junior school life. They have settled in incredibly well, shown great enthusiasm and impressed us with their positive attitudes and excellent behaviour. We are delighted to have them as part of our school family and look forward to seeing them thrive this year.
A reminder that our weekly newsletter is your one-stop source for key information, important dates, celebrations and updates from across the school, so please take a few moments to read it each week.
Arbor
As we enter the new school year, please take a moment to review your Arbor account and update any information where possible.
If you are unable to make changes yourself or need to add any additional information, please contact the school office at office@wilnecote.fierte.org.
Thank you for your support in keeping our records accurate and up to date.
Uniform
It is wonderful to see the children return to school in their school uniforms looking smart and proud to be a part of our school community. Here is the link to our uniform expectations, should you have any queries: Uniform
PE Kit & PE Days
Just a reminder that from Monday, children should come to school wearing their PE kit on the days they have PE. This will maximise learning time, reduce the need for changing during the school day and help PE lessons run smoothly.
As stated in our uniform policy, PE kit is as follows:
• A pair of black shorts
• A house coloured T-shirt (red, green, blue or yellow)
• Black pumps for indoor P.E
• Black jogging bottoms and a jumper should be worn for winter outdoor activities
• Trainers
PE days for each class are as follows:

Snack Update
A number of parents have reported issues with the snack booking process this week. From the Arbor Parent Portal, it appears that the snack has been selected but it is still awaiting final checkout in parents' baskets.
We have raised this with our IT team and Arbor support. To book snack for your child via Arbor, please ensure you follow the steps below:
-
Login to the Arbor Parent Portal or App
-
From the homepage, click on the "Quick Actions" menu
-
Go to "Meals"
-
Make your snack selections
-
At the top of the screen, click on the "Go to your basket" link
-
In the basket, ensure you click "checkout" and follow any on-screen instructions for payment
Please be aware that Arbor will not allow you to confirm new snack bookings if your child's meal balance is in deficit or has not been topped up.

Voluntary Trust Opportunities
Fierté Multi-Academy Trust is a successful and ambitious family of ten primary schools across Staffordshire, educating more than 2,200 pupils. Through our schools and Our Pride Our Joy nursery and wraparound provision, we support children and families from their earliest years through primary education.
Our vision, "Proudly inspiring all to excellence", drives everything we do. We are committed to providing the very best education, supporting every child to thrive, and working closely with our communities.
We are looking for parents, carers and members of the community who share our values and would like to help shape the future of our organisation as a Governor, Trustee or Director of Our Pride Our Joy. You do not need a background in education. We welcome people with experience in business, finance, law, leadership, governance, risk management or other professional fields, as well as those who can bring enthusiasm, commitment and fresh perspectives.
These voluntary roles offer a rewarding opportunity to:
· Help shape the strategic direction of our Trust, schools and Nurseries.
· Support and challenge leaders to achieve the best outcomes for children.
· Contribute your skills and experience to your local community.
· Make a lasting difference to the lives of children and families.
Full induction, training and ongoing support are provided, making these roles accessible to both experienced governors and trustees and those new to governance. Please contact Tony Hand, Vice-CEO for further information or to express your interest in one of the roles available: viceceo@fierte.org.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
