Today you are going to be recalling your learning relating to comparing fractions. This is easier when the denominator is the same.
Have a go at the learning on BBC Bitesize.
When you have finished, see if you can find things at home that are split into fractions and compare them. Remember, we compare using the 'more than' and 'less than' symbols.
For example: you might find a bar of chocolate. How many parts is it divided into? It might be divided into 12 parts. If I eat 3 parts, what fraction is this? If you then eat 5 parts, what fraction is this? Who has eaten the bigger fraction?
You could do this with chocolate, cake, pizza, lego…….what else can you find?
Have fun! Remember to e-mail us any learning or photos. We love seeing what you have been doing.
